There has long been debate regarding President Biden's cognitive capabilities, with many stating his mental health is in decline.
On Wednesday, he seemed to brush off a question from a reporter who brought up the matter during his press conference.
"I'd like to raise a delicate subject, but with utmost respect for your life accomplishments and the high office you hold," a reporter asked President Biden. "A poll released this morning by Politico Morning Consult found 49% of registered voters disagreeing with the statement, 'Joe Biden is mentally fit. Not even a majority of Democrats who responded strongly affirmed that statement."

"Why do you suppose such large segments of the American electorate have come to harbor such profound concerns about your cognitive fitness?" the reporter asked.
President Biden replied, simply, "I have no idea," then called on the next reporter.

After the exchange, Obama-era White House physician Dr. Ronny Jackson took to Twitter to voice his concern.
"BIDEN JUST IGNORED A QUESTION ABOUT HIS COGNITIVE DECLINE!," he announced. "Something is WRONG with him. This man IS NOT qualified to be President!! I am demanding he have a cognitive test NOW. There's too much on the line, we need to know!"

In an initial tweet, Dr. Jackson called Biden's handling of the press conference "an EMBARRASSMENT," and explained the President was "disconnected from reality."
This is not the first time Dr. Jackson has called on President Biden to take a cognitive test, and will probably not be the last.

Biden was strongly denounced for his failure to convince his own party to pass voting reform measures - and further for declaring that 2020 saw more people vote than ever before.
"Maybe I'm just being too much of an optimist. Remember how we thought not that many people were going to show up to vote in the middle of a pandemic? We had the highest voter turnout in the history of the United States of America," the President announced.

"No matter how hard they make it for minorities to vote, I think you're going to see them willing to stand in line and — and defy the attempt to keep them from being able to vote."
