White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki and the Biden administration have been denounced for declining to properly describe the hostage situation in Texas, where a suspected Islamist jihadist took hostage a Jewish synagogue in Colleyville, a Fort Worth suburb.

In a post on Twitter, Psaki wrote, "[The President of the United States] has been briefed about the developing hostage situation in the Dallas area."

"He will continue to receive updates from his senior team as the situation develops," the Biden admin staff continued. "Senior members of the national security team are also in touch with federal law enforcement leadership."

As detailed by The Post Millennial, the one suspect took the Rabbi and three others hostage at the Congregation Beth Israel synagogue in Colleyville, TX. The suspect claims to be armed and states his sister is Aafia Siddiqui. Siddiqui was convicted in New York of attempting to kill US military personnel and is presently incarcerated. Aafia Siddiqui's brother has since come out with an announcement, clarifying he is not the suspect in the Synagogue.

Psaki's curious failure to describe the hostage situation for what it is – that a suspected jihadist took a Jewish synagogue hostage – was noted by many on social media.

"I'm going to die at the end of this" is what the Colleyville, Texas synagogue hostage taker announced shortly before the congregation's Facebook livestream ended. "What the f*ck is wrong with America?!" shouts the same man, throughout the stream.

The Colleyville Police Department stated, "We are currently conducting SWAT operations around the 6100 block of Pleasant Run Rd. All residents in the immediate area are being evacuated. Please avoid the area." All residents in the immediate area of the incident are being evacuated, according to the tweet. The congregation had a Facebook livestream during the incident, which is now down.

Biden, meanwhile, said he has yet to contact Rabbi Charlie Cytron-Walker, who was leading the Sabbath service and was among Akram's four hostages.

"I'll put a call into the Rabbi. We missed one another on the way up here, but rest assured, we are focused. We are focused," the president announced.

"The attorney general is focused on dealing with these kinds of acts. And thank God we had such a professional FBI as well as local cooperation. I was told it was incredible, so I just wanted to let you know that."

Asked if the incident meant a new push to restrict firearm access, Biden said: "The idea of background checks are critical, but you can't stop something like this if someone is on the street buying something from somebody else on the street."
