As detailed by The Post Millennial, the one suspect took the Rabbi and three others hostage at the Congregation Beth Israel synagogue in Colleyville, TX. The suspect claims to be armed and states his sister is Aafia Siddiqui. Siddiqui was convicted in New York of attempting to kill US military personnel and is presently incarcerated. Aafia Siddiqui's brother has since come out with an announcement, clarifying he is not the suspect in the Synagogue.

The Colleyville Police Department stated, "We are currently conducting SWAT operations around the 6100 block of Pleasant Run Rd. All residents in the immediate area are being evacuated. Please avoid the area." All residents in the immediate area of the incident are being evacuated, according to the tweet. The congregation had a Facebook livestream during the incident, which is now down.

Biden, meanwhile, said he has yet to contact Rabbi Charlie Cytron-Walker, who was leading the Sabbath service and was among Akram's four hostages.
