Transgender athlete Lia Thomas, who competes on the Penn State women's swim team as a woman (but competed for the men's team the three years prior), has amazingly compared herself to baseball great Jackie Robinson and says she is "Number one in the country." This did not go over well with Black people who were mortified that the swimmer who is taking advantage of silly and unscientific NCAA rules to compete as a woman (whether he feels like a woman or not, he is biologically male) can actually compare himself to someone who literally worked his ass off to break down a barrier that should have never existed.
To that end, once a celebrated example of equality in the woke sense, Lia Thomas has gone from progressive poster-child to public enemy number one with his brash and pompous boasting - not to mention putting himself on the same level of a Robinson who is an American national treasure.

"She said she is like the Jackie Robinson of trans sports," said a teammate of Thomas', who spoke out on the condition of anonymity. "I try not to be around her because the whole situation makes me so mad. I don’t think Lia is a bad person. She’s very quiet and kind of introverted."

"It’s just really hard for me to respect her at all because of what she’s doing to my team and what she’s doing to women in general and not caring," the teammate expressed. The source, who was interviewed exclusively by the Washington Examiner, went on to say, "Instead of caring or showing that she cares about what she’s doing or what she’s doing to her teammates, she’s not sympathetic or empathetic at all. Lia never addressed our team."

"She never asked if it was OK. She never asked how we felt. She never tried to explain how she feels. She never has said anything to us as a group. She never addressed anything." Allegedly, Thomas took advantage of that status in order to attend the annual dinners for both the men's and women's teams while in the process of transition.
"When she first announced she was transgender and was still on the men’s team, she went to both the men’s and women’s swimming team dinners on our training trip." "It really rubbed me the wrong way because if you’re saying you’re a woman, then why go to the men’s team?" The teammate said.

"And if you want to go to the men’s team because all your friends are there, OK, understandable. But then why are you going to the women’s team dinner? You shouldn’t get to bend the rules." It appears Thomas's days in the spotlight as "Number One" may well be numbered, however, as Thomas recently lost a race to another trans athlete.

Meanwhile, Cynthia Millan, who has more than 30 years of officiating swim meets at the US level, has just publicly quit her position, as Thomas makes a mockery of previous records.

On Friday, Millan, mentioned that she had resigned "days ago," saying "I can’t do this," and "I can’t support this."
"Bodies swim against bodies; gender identities don't swim ... Lia [Thomas] should swim against Lia, not against women," said Millan, an opinion echoed by female swimmers, those who are not afraid to speak up on the issue.
