More than one-third of that amount— $1.9 million — will go to the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), Scalise's campaign said. The GOP needs a net gain of just five seats next year to recapture control of the House.
"Taking back the House has NEVER been more important than it is right now," Scalise said in a statement. "I'm doing everything I can – connecting with donors all across the country and raising money directly for battleground Members – to ensure that we have the resources needed to win next fall."
Scalise himself isn't set to face a competitive re-election effort next year. He represents a deep-red district in eastern Louisiana that elected him to a seventh term in the House last year by a nearly 47-point margin. Former President Trump, meanwhile, took Scalise's district by roughly 38 points.

For Scalise, that means that he can more easily transfer funds to the NRCC and other GOP candidates in more competitive districts.
As of October, Scalise has given more than $10 million to the Republican House campaign arm this year. On Tuesday, his campaign said that he helped raise money for 11 incumbent House Republicans through his digital program.

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) blasted Scalise (R-La.) after he refused to say if he believed the 2020 presidential election was "stolen" from former President Trump.
Earlier on Sunday, Scalise was pushed by "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace on whether he believed President Biden had legitimately secured the 2020 election. Scalise refused to directly answer the question, repeatedly pointing to constitutional rules and states' laws on elections.

"Millions of Americans have been sold a fraud that the election was stolen. Republicans have a duty to tell the American people that this is not true. Perpetuating the Big Lie is an attack on the core of our constitutional republic," Cheney tweeted.

Cheney's denial of the so-called big lie has distanced her from much of the GOP. Last month, Cheney was named as vice chairwoman of the Jan. 6 select committee reviewing the attack on the Capitol at the beginning of this year.
She previously lashed at Trump for preserving claims of a stolen election, saying those who adopt such claims were “poisoning our democratic system.”
"The 2020 presidential election was not stolen. Anyone who claims it was spreading THE BIG LIE, turning their back on the rule of law, and poisoning our democratic system," she tweeted back in May.
