A third woman has charged New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo with unwanted advances.

According to The New York Times, 33-year-old Anna Ruch has alleged that Cuomo asked to kiss her at a wedding in 2019. In an interview Monday, she said that Cuomo put his hand on her bare lower back.

Ruch said she drew away and was "so confused and shocked and embarrassed" by the occurrence. "I turned my head away and didn’t have words at that moment," she reportedly said.

A spokesperson for Cuomo reportedly referred the Times to a wider general statement in which Cuomo excused for things that "have been misinterpreted as an unwanted flirtation."

Over the past week, two of Cuomo's former aides have charged him with sexual harassment -- something he has rejected.

The latest accusation comes as Attorney General Letitia James announced that the governor's office sent a letter permitting her office to perform an independent probe.

However, Democratic politicians within the state have already begun demanding Cuomo's resignation after other accusations surfaced.

Charlotte Bennett, a 25-year-old former staffer, claimed Cuomo talked about his willingness to have relationships with women in their 20s.

Before Bennett's claim surfaced, Cuomo aide Lindsey Boylan published a blog post accusing the governor of unwanted touching and kissing.

The White House and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Monday strongly backed an independent probe of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

Pelosi, D-Calif., called the allegations against Cuomo by Bennett and Lindsey Boylan “serious and credible.”

President Joe Biden’s press secretary, Jen Psaki, said the charges by Bennett in a New York Times interview published Saturday that Cuomo had asked questions about her sex life “was incredibly uncomfortable to read as a woman.”

Bennett told the Times that last June the governor pointedly asked her when was the last time he “really hugged somebody?”

“I understood that the governor wanted to sleep with me, and felt horribly uncomfortable and scared,” Bennett said. “And was wondering how I was going to get out of it and assumed it was the end of my job.”

Bennett’s claim came following allegations by Boylan, 36, who said the governor kissed her without her consent and humorously suggested a game of “strip poker” on an official flight. Cuomo rejects the claims by Boylan, who had been a special advisor to him for economic development.

“We certainly believe that every woman coming forward, Charlotte, Lindsey, should be treated with respect and dignity and be able to tell their story,” Psaki said during a White House news conference.

“And we will leave that process to the attorney general to make a determination on the path forward,” Psaki said.
