Haley tweeted: "2020 was the year socialism went mainstream. The dangerous ideology, which has failed everywhere it has been tried & ruined countless lives, is on its way to becoming the default economic policy of the Democratic Party. This terrifying trend threatens the future of every American"
Haley later added a post that blamed the left for thinking "government knows best."
"If the past year has taught us anything, it's that when the government dictates how the economy is run, Americans suffer," Haley wrote.

Haley, a former South Carolina governor being praised as a potential 2024 GOP presidential candidate, also posted an article named, "2020 In Review: Socialism Rising," per Fox News.

"With the Biden administration set to take power, now is the time to renew the fight for capitalism and opportunity for all – and against socialism and its suffering," Haley wrote on the Stand for America website, which she started.
"Now is the time to rally our fellow citizens to ensure that every American can achieve their dreams and bring our country and people to new heights of achievement. The only way socialism wins is if we don't show up. So let's show up, stand up, and speak out, for the sake of America's future."

Haley's post on Stand for America linked to a New York Post article featuring polling results that conferred socialism was not accepted among Americans and met considerable opposition from the country.
Seventy-five percent of Americans said they would prefer to see free-market capitalism over socialism, according to the survey by Rasmussen and the Heartland Institute.
Haley further warned of a potential “government health plan,” which it said would “destroy private health care,” and the “Green New Deal” energy plan championed by Sanders and AOC. The Green New Deal,” she continued, “would use the power of government to remake virtually the entire economy, greater government power over job creators and workers through heavy-handed mandates, and massive tax hikes that would bring the economy to a crawl.” It also criticized calls by some Democratic lawmakers to “cancel” student debt, rent, and mortgage payments.”

Interestingly, Stand for America doesn’t have much to say of Covid-19, other than attacking lockdowns for crushing the economy. “During the pandemic, government-mandated lockdowns dragged down an economy that was uplifting millions — especially minorities and struggling communities,” she said. “Countless businesses have closed and those with the most to lose have lost the most.”
