n a recent appearance on The View, actress and activist Jane Fonda made a controversial statement regarding pro-life politicians. Fonda suggested that they should be "murdered" because of their views on abortion. While co-host Joy Behar attempted to downplay the comment, it is clear that Fonda's statement is irresponsible and harmful. Inciting violence against those with opposing views is never an acceptable solution to a disagreement. It is important to have respectful conversations and debates, and to seek understanding and compromise rather than violence. Fonda's comment undermines the importance of civil discourse in our society and should be condemned.
