The House has launched an investigation into Rep. Ilhan Omar’s reported net worth, which has been estimated at $30 million. The scrutiny centers in part on her husband’s business interests, including a Washington, D.C. based venture capital firm and a California winery. Public filings show the winery valued at $50,000 in 2023, before jumping to $5 million a year later. During the same period, his firm, Rose Lake Capital, reportedly grew from just $1,000 in assets to $25 million, a rapid increase now drawing congressional attention.
