During a briefing, NYC Mayor Eric Adams was asked if the Sanctuary City status should be reconsidered. The mayor responded that it should, but emphasized that the decision rests with the city council.
He also stated that migrants who commit serious crimes against New Yorkers or other migrants should be deported after serving their sentences in NYC.
