Baltimore Mayor Agrees With Trump On City Infestation

Democrats have been attacking President Donald Trump the entire weekend because he described the conditions in Rep.

Elijah Cummings Baltimore.

But the same Democrats did not have any issue with these facts about Baltimore being stated when Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders said it.

And they did not have any issue with it when the Democrat mayor of Baltimore, Mayor Catherine Pugh, said near word for word what the president said last year, The Baltimore Sun reported.

Video footage of Mayor Catherine Pugh touring an East Baltimore neighborhood has gone viral after she is heard making some indelicate remarks.

The segment, which looks back on the mayor’s violence-reduction initiative rolled out last year, was filmed last week and aired this week on Fox 45.

In the footage, Pugh tours an area of vacant houses with city leaders and says: “What the hell? We should just take all this [expletive] down.”

“Whoa, you can smell the rats.” “Whew, Jesus.” “Oh, my God, you can smell the dead animals.”

And Mayor Pugh did not back off of the statement when her office was reached by The Sun for comment on what she said.

“I walk the neighborhoods of our city regularly with my agency and department leaders, along with our police district commanders, to deal firsthand with the issues that undermine quality of life and rob our children of the future they deserve,” her spokesman said.

If President Trump was incorrect about the area being infested, as Democrats have claimed, then why did all of these Democrats agree with him before he said it?

On Saturday President Trump correctly blamed Cummings for the state of his district which is in disarray and crime ridden.

“Rep, Elijah Cummings has been a brutal bully, shouting and screaming at the great men & women of Border Patrol about conditions at the Southern Border, when actually his Baltimore district is FAR WORSE and more dangerous.

“His district is considered the Worst in the USA. As proven last week during a Congressional tour, the Border is clean, efficient & well run, just very crowded.

“Cumming District is a disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess. If he spent more time in Baltimore, maybe he could help clean up this very dangerous & filthy place,” he said.

“Why is so much money sent to the Elijah Cummings district when it is considered the worst run and most dangerous anywhere in the United States.

“No human being would want to live there. Where is all this money going? How much is stolen? Investigate this corrupt mess immediately!” he said.

FLASHBACK: Baltimore Mayor Does City Walk Through, Complains ‘Whoa, You Can Smell the Rats and Dead Animals’

A video of Baltimore’s former Democrat Mayor Catherine Pugh doing a walk through a dilapidated neighborhood last year has resurfaced amid claims that President Donald Trump’s concern over the state of Charm City’s rat infestation is “racist.

At one point, Mayor Pugh declares that she can “smell the rats.”

“What the hell? We should just take all this sh*t down. … Whoa, you can smell the rats. … Whew, Jesus. … Oh, my God, you can smell the dead animals,” Mayor Pugh said during a segment on Fox 45.

Earlier this week, CNN host Victor Blackwell cried on air over tweets from President Trump complaining about the rat problem, asserting that pointing out the infestation is “racist.”

Baltimore is number nine on Orkin’s list of the top ten most rat-infested cities.

“Aside from causing structural damage, rodents can carry hundreds of pathogens that can transmit various diseases and dangerous parasites. Additionally, they constantly leave behind droplets of urine as they travel each day. These droppings can contribute to asthma and allergic reactions, especially in children,” Chelle Hartzer, an Orkin entomologist, said in a press release about infested cities.

The tweets from the president that have dominated this week’s news cycle slammed Rep. Elijah Cummings for focusing on the Southern Border instead of problems in his own district.

“Rep. Elijah Cummings has been a brutal bully, shouting and screaming at the great men & women of Border Patrol about conditions at the Southern Border, when actually his Baltimore district is FAR WORSE and more dangerous,” Trump tweeted. “His district is considered the Worst in the USA as proven last week during a Congressional tour, the Border is clean, efficient & well run, just very crowded. Cumming District is a disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess. If he spent more time in Baltimore, maybe he could help clean up this very dangerous & filthy place.”

Ugh. Never-Trumper Chris Wallace: Is Trump Saying People Who Live in Baltimore are not Human Beings? (VIDEO)

Chris Wallace cannot even disguise his disgust for President Donald Trump. And he doesn’t even try to.

Wallace attacked President Trump on Sunday suggesting the president is a racist for attacking corrupt Democrat Elijah Cummings.

President Trump on Saturday attacked Cummings his rat-infested Baltimore district.

On Sunday Chris Wallace bought the Democrat talking point and accused Trump of racism for his tweets against Cummings.

Chris Wallace: No human being would want to live there. Is he saying people who live in Baltimore are not human beings? Before his inauguration the president tweeted about John Lewis, a black congressman, that he should spend time in his crime-infested district. Then two weeks ago he goes after these four members of the squad, all women of color, and he says they should go back to the crime-infested countries from which they come. Then he talks about Elijah Cummings and he says his district is rat and rodent infested. Infested, it sounds like vermin. It sounds like sub-human.

This guy is unbearable.

Baltimore Sun Op-ed, 2016: Trump's Right: Declare Baltimore a 'Disaster' and Rebuild It

This article was sourced from Breitbart

The Baltimore Sun published an op-ed on Nov. 9, 2016 — the day Donald Trump was declared the winner of the 2016 presidential election — in which the author called for Baltimore to be declared a disaster, and rebuilt.

The op-ed, by Sean Kennedy, reads in part:

Donald J. Trump is known for his hyperbole, but not all of his ideas are a stretch. Our inner cities are a “disaster,” as he said in the final presidential debate — and they should be officially declared so.

Mr. Trump said on the campaign trail that he would “empower cities and states to seek a federal disaster designation for blighted communities in order to initiate the rebuilding of vital infrastructure, the demolition of abandoned properties and the increased presence of law enforcement.” Now that he’s captured the presidency, let’s hope he follows through.

The idea is radical, revolutionary and just what urban America needs: a federal disaster declaration for our most impoverished neighborhoods hard hit by crime, urban blight and economic malaise. When the president declares an area to be a disaster, additional federal assistance can be applied while regulations and rules for rebuilding and revitalizing the affected area are often waived or reduced.

Declaring our most beleaguered neighborhoods to be “disaster zones” and encouraging entrepreneurial activities through access to capital and microloans would inject capital, expedite much needed infrastructure and give our inner cities hope again.

The media and Democrats have called President Donald Trump’s recent criticisms of House Oversight Committee chair Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) racist because they refer to Baltimore’s blight.
