There has long been speculation over Biden's cognitive drop. Jackson, who is now the representative for Texas' 13th district, worked in both the Obama and Trump administrations and knows a thing or two about evaluating the health of presidents. He evaluated Biden's future on Fox News host Sean Hannity's show.
On Thursday's episode of Hannity's show, Jackson gave his statement about Biden's mental fitness, and he didn't hold anything back.
"I've been saying this from the very beginning," Jackson started. "I've been saying that something's going on here. I was saying this when he was candidate Joe Biden, and I've been saying that it's only going to get worse."
Jackson lamented the fact that barely anybody appears to be pressing the administration on the matter. "Where are the people in our academic medicine that were out there calling for President Trump to have a cognitive test?" Jackson asked. "Where are these people?"
Earlier in July, Jackson himself asked Biden to take a cognitive exam, pointing to a growing number of cases where the president looked confused.
"He's either going to resign," Jackson went on. "They're going to convince him to resign from office at some point in the near future for medical issues, or they're going to have to use the 25th Amendment to get rid of this man right now."
Jackson worries that America's adversaries are "looking at what's going on in the Joe Biden administration right now and thinking that it is a perfect time to come after us," implying that Biden's cognitive state is a "national security issue."
Jackson further alerted his opinion on social media, “He’s completely LOST it!” Jackson (R-Tex.) tweeted Saturday, along with a video clip — recorded this week — in which Biden bizarrely answered a reporter’s question regarding defunding the police by insisting that Republicans accuse him of “sucking the blood out of kids.”
“Needs a cognitive exam NOW!” Jackson posted.
Biden's performance at a CNN town hall earlier this week, along with a history of gaffe-filled speeches, have prompted critics to further challenge his mental health condition.
“The American people … deserve full transparency on the mental capabilities of their highest elected leader,” the Republicans wrote.
“I’ve been saying that it’s only going to get worse,” Jackson said Thursday. “And guess what? We’re watching that happen right before our eyes right now.”
