Coffee Store Posts Pro-Trump Message; Has to Close Over Threats

Just in case you were wondering, the left-wing tagline of #LoveTrumpsHate still seems to have those two emotions exactly backwards, with very real consequences for people’s lives.

Tucson.com reports that that Cup It Up, a coffee shop in Tucson, Arizona, has closed down following a wave of abuse the proprietors received for posting a message in support of President Donald Trump and a handful of other conservative principles.

Here’s the offending post, which you can judge for yourselves:

Solidly conservative, but there’s obviously nothing here that a rational person would deem bigoted, hateful, violent, or otherwise beyond the pale. Alas, rational people are not to be found on the Left:

Julian Alarcon, a former partner who was not involved in Friday’s Facebook post, said the restaurant at 760 N. Tyndall Ave. was the target of harassing and threatening phone calls throughout the weekend. Two employees quit Saturday because of the calls and several more quit throughout the weekend, he said.

Within minutes [of the post going live], the post was met with a barrage of comments, most of them negative and including calls to boycott the restaurant.
