Trump: We Can't Keep FEMA, the Military & First Responders in Puerto Rico Forever

Written by  Susan Jones

(CNSNews.com) - President Trump sent a heads-up tweet to Puerto Rico on Thursday morning, saying the island was a "disaster" before two hurricanes hit it, and the American citizens living there cannot expect unending help from the federal government.

His comments come one day before House Speaker Paul Ryan leads a congressional delegation to the island to check on recovery efforts.

(The comments also drew a scathing response on liberal cable stations, to which Trump later replied by tweet: "The Fake News is going all out in order to demean and denigrate! Such hatred!")

In the first of his three tweets today, Trump quoted Sinclair Broadcast Group journalist Sharyl Attkisson:

"'Puerto Rico survived the Hurricanes, now a financial crisis looms largely of their own making,' says Sharyl Attkisson. A total lack of accountability say (sic) the Governor. Electric and all infrastructure was disaster before hurricanes. Congress to decide how much to spend. We cannot keep FEMA, the Military & the First Responders, who have been amazing (under the most difficult circumstances) in P.R. forever!"

Defense Secretary James Mattis told an Oct. 3 hearing of the Senate Armed Services Committee it is "all hands on deck" for storm-ravaged Puerto Rico, a situation that is affecting planned troop deployments to places like Afghanistan.

Oh I'm pretty sure the Nasty women mayor Miz Cruz, will expect this country to build them a brand new country from top to bottom, and that would be at taxpayer expense....Otherwise she will get on TV and start screaming that Trump is murdering them....that is how Miz Cruz works.

We should have followed Fance's lead, when they cut Haiti loose, and cut these islanders loose! 'Ricans are just like negros, they can't run a country to save their lives (pun intended)!

Maybe the Mayor Cruz should actually do something but whine cry and campaign!!!

In Texas and Florida we saw the locals coming together to help rebuild their community. Why are we not seeing that in Puerto Rico? All we see there is the relief effort people working and a mayor bitching. Maybe instead of bitching she should get her ass to work and organize work parties to help rebuild her city. She's most likely a kneel-er. President Trump should help rebuild Puerto Rico, but get to her town last. Let her wallow in her constant bitching.

Jerry is right!! They will not come together!! The Truck Drivers in Puerto Rico are on strile and are sitting while President Trump hited 1500 drivers to go down and drive the trucks to deliver the supplies!!!

Given that the Island like D.C. is a LIBERAL LOVEFEST for them to admit they are to blame for their mess would be a walk on water type of miracle. Their not wanting everything done for them is also something that will always happen.
