Las Vegas Gunman Was Prescribed Drug Linked to Violent Outbursts

Written by  Paul Joseph Watson

Las Vegas massacre gunman Stephen Paddock was taking a drug linked to violent outbursts in yet another example of a mass shooter being on a pharmaceutical medication that causes aggressive behavior.

According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, Paddock “was prescribed an anti-anxiety drug in June that can lead to aggressive behavior”.

The drug in question – diazepam – more commonly known as its brand name Valium – was prescribed by Henderson physician Dr. Steven Winkler on June 21 and Paddock purchased 50 10-milligram diazepam tablets from a Walgreens store in Reno on the same day. Paddock was also previously prescribed the same drug in 2016.

The article cites DrugAbuse.com, which warns that diazepam can trigger “aggressive behavior” and “psychotic experiences,” which can be amplified by alcohol consumption.

“If somebody has an underlying aggression problem and you sedate them with that drug, they can become aggressive,” said Dr. Mel Pohl, chief medical officer of the Las Vegas Recovery Center. “It can disinhibit an underlying emotional state. … It is much like what happens when you give alcohol to some people … they become aggressive instead of going to sleep.

This guy did not have an "outburst." He planned this way in advance. I don't think the drugs had anything to do with it.

Boy isn't that the truth....The idiot Politicians only see the tax dollars and refuse to acknowledge the HORROR that can be caused by using Marijuana and then "Graduating" to stronger narcotics.
This movement makes absolutely no sense and is beyond understanding it.
With all the chaos in this Country the very last thing we need, as a society, is to make more Drugs available to folks who feel they need them to survive....they should be handed some HELP instead.

Nonsense! Valiums have been in use for decades without any such behavior. This was carefully planned and obviously more than 1 individual was involved. I would bet that Paddock was killed before the massacre even started. There were people that were there that said there were more guns being fired simultaneously. Ain't it strange how all the exits were blocked and the spotlights were immediately aimed away from the stage and into the crowds when the guns started firing. I also find it odd that they would put a scope on a fully automatic weapon and that they would even be able to get such a high hit rate at 400 yards away using one.

Diazapam and Loriazapam are both relaxers NOT aggressors!! They calm a person during a Panic attack!! I work with a man who takes them underground!! When we "Pillar"" a section it can get VERY scary when the top starts caving in and you are trying to get back to safety before being killed. After a really close call he will be shaking and stuttering so we help him take a pill and in 15 minutes he is relaxed but we are ALL still a little jumpy!! Besides this man meticulously planned this out and they are now thinking his Money transactions to Phillipines may be ISIS!! ANYBODY wonder why he started buying and training last winter getting veryserious right after the election!!! He may have been a little upset over the Hitlary loss!! Attacking a Country Music Concert sure targets a certain voter base!!! Just sayin!!

This was not caused by an emotional outburst. It was way too meticulously planned and orchestraded. There was a note but what was on it has not been released yet and now the police are hinting at an ISIS connection.
