Hillary Clinton: Breitbart, Headed By Steve Bannon, Giving Fox News A ‘Run For Its Money’

Written by  Aaron Klein

NEW YORK — Breitbart News, headed by Executive Chairman Steve Bannon, has been giving Fox News a “run for its money,” exclaimed Hillary Clinton in her latest memoir released today.

“During the Obama years, the Breitbart News Network, backed by Robert and Rebekah Mercer and led by their advisor Steve Bannon, who is now Trump’s top strategist, emerged to give Fox a run for its money,” Clinton wrote in the memoir, titled What Happened.

Bannon resigned from the Trump White House last month and rejoined Breitbart News.

Hillary made the statement in a chapter section titled, “The War on Truth” in which she espoused the conspiracy that there is a “right-wing war on truth” consisting of a “concerted effort” to “discredit mainstream sources of information, create an echo chamber to amplify fringe conspiracy theories, and undermine Americans’ grasp of objective truth.”

This purported right-wing conspiracy, Clinton alleges, aided Trump’s 2016 victory by discrediting negative stories about the billionaire and helping to build a “receptive audience for false attacks against me.”

Clinton credited News Corporation Executive Chairman Rupert Murdoch and the late Roger Ailes, formerly Chairman and CEO of Fox News, as likely “doing more than anyone else” to facilitate the so-called right-wing war on truth.

That was true when written but since May, when Trump's approval has dropped from 50% to about 36%, Breitbart has bit the dust, falling hard.

And Fox, while slipping, has not fallen like a turd lie Breitbart.

First, the competition: " CNN was a top 10 basic cable network this past week. It finished as the No. 8 network in weekday prime, and No. 8 in total day, 6 a.m. – 6 a.m. It also defeated MSNBC in total day among adults 25-54 for a whopping 37th consecutive month.

Year to date, 2017 is on pace to be CNN’s best year on record in total day viewers, and its best year in the total day demo since 2003 during the Iraq War." Not bad for "fake news."

"Fox News in July posted its lowest monthly share of the Total Day cable news audience among total viewers in six years." Fox virtually tied with MSNBC in daytime and night viewers.

"TheBlaze reported earlier in July:

At the end of May, spurred by a string of unfavorable news stories about President Donald Trump, the left-leaning MSNBC surpassed CNN and Fox News in the key 25-54 demographic during primetime for the first time since September 2000, and Rachel Maddow appeared to have solidified her position as the top cable-news host in the wake of Bill O’Reilly’s departure from Fox News. Since then, Fox News has steadily recovered and is now dominating in the key demo, including against Maddow.
However, now, MSNBC and Maddow are the clear leaders in cable news.

Going back to the week of July 10-July 14, Maddow led each of Fox News’ top three shows: “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” “Hannity,” and “The Five."

Not long ago, Fox dominated cable news; today it is fighting to survive as advertisers desert them:

Trump's campaign against fake news, focused on CNN and NYTimes, has backfired.

"Donald Trump’s war against the media has been good for business at the “failing” New York Times.
The publication, which the US president has mocked on Twitter, as “dishonest” and “fake news,” just posted record subscriber growth on its digital-news platform.
During the last three months of 2016, the Times added 276,000 net digital-only subscribers for its news product, which includes access to NYTimes.com and all NYTimes apps, the company announced (pdf) today. That’s more than the 184,000 net subscribers who signed up for the news organization’s digital editions in the whole of 2015, past earnings releases showed. It also marks the best quarter the New York Times’ digital publication

(Updated: September 13, 2017)

I am totally convinced of this woman's lunacy. She only hears herself and those that agree with her self inflation. She hears nothing else.
The only retort that I can imagine that would get through to her is a condescension with the reference of
'honey'. That would probably trigger her rage beyond belief.
This woman had attitude from day one. I don't believe all the books and all her inner sanctum people have lied.

Poor little 'sing, her lost and her hurt and sad. Well 'honey', you did your best and it's time to let go,
sweetie, little honey pie.

(I can hear the crashing of empty southern comfort glasses now.)

Oh geez...Now we are back to the "vast right wing conspiracy" hogwash again...and that while her mainstream news media is caught in total lies & fabrication on a daily bases...wow!

Another "Vast right-wing conspiracy", Hillary? Like the one which forced Dollar Bill to have "..sex with that woman..." and lie about it? Like the one which forced you to ignore National security laws, because you didn't want to use U.S. Government servers for your emails? Right-wing lies? Like "The attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi was the result of a demonstration, not a terrorist attack"? Or, was that a Left-wing "truth"? I'm confused.

We definitely know what news stations she prefers....She can't handle the truth in any shape or form.

LOCK'ER UP...........For her own good before she commits self inflicted bodily harm....bouncing off the walls is not a good way to treat yourself.......I kind of see somewhere soon that Brietbart will go with it's own televised show to pick up the slack that FOX has left for the right and their view point......this will be good for the news industry......
