Review Detail

By the logic of this psychiatrist, the gunman was a conservative. Here's why.

"As the motive behind Sunday night’s massacre in Las Vegas remains unclear, forensic psychiatrist Dr. Michael Welner suggested that gunman Stephen Paddock may have deliberately targeted conservatives and that CNN was partly to blame.....Asked, “What do country music fans and country music artists represent?” Welner responded, “It’s Americana – it could be guns….he’s smart enough to know what this would instigate”
Welner went on to assert that “CNN is going to have to answer for how they demonize gun enthusiasts and how CNN actually contributes to mass shootings.”

First, if Western Music means conservative, then what about this?

"Paddock told CBS News he last spoke to his brother, who was a country music fan, after Hurricane Irma."

So if the motive is that he wanted to kill conservatives on the assumption that Western music fans ARE conservative, by that same assumption, he was......a conservative.

Add to this his decidely non-liberal life features: worked for a defense contracter, was not to registered to vote, made money in real estate and gambling.

As for CNN demonizing gun owners, that is pure bullshit. Liberals see common sense gun laws like universal background checks, but so do 85% of gun owners and 74% of NRA members. If presented evidence that promotes rational gun laws is demonizing gun owners, then even 3/4 of NRA members are as guilty as CNN of this mass murder by a Western music and gun lover.

To sum it up, this psychiatrist is demonizing liberals in order to make an absurd argument based on a false assumption. For that reason, we can blame HIM for these mass murders!

You always say Wrong AGAIN...but you don't say wrong on what or why. For that reason no intelligent person credits you with having anything to say, again.

I welcome a rational and civil discussion on what I am wrong about, friend. If you can't back up your accusations, they are worthless. If you have something constructive to say, it's time to say it. Otherwise, you are just an annoying heckler seeking attention but adding zero to the conversation.
