Initially, investigators believed that Tapp's fatal injuries were the result of a fall. However, they later discovered that he had been involved in a dispute with Rodimer.
Rodimer, a Republican, had unsuccessfully run for Congress in Nevada in 2020 and in Texas in 2021. He surrendered to Las Vegas police on March 6 and is currently free on a $200,000 bail.
