Three members of the Washington DC National Guard are set to testify before Congress, alleging that former President Donald Trump had requested their presence at the Capitol during the January 6 protests, but their deployment was delayed by the Pentagon.

This testimony is expected to challenge the narrative presented by the Democrat-led January 6 Committee.

A report from the Daily Mail suggests that these National Guard members are whistleblowing on the situation, questioning the validity of the J6 Committee's account of Trump's actions on that day.

These officers have reportedly stated that their accounts were disregarded by the Democrat-led committee as they did not align with the established narrative. The upcoming hearing is anticipated to highlight that then-Acting Defense Secretary Christopher Miller had indeed approved the deployment of the DC National Guard, as directed by Trump.

An anonymous source informed the Daily Mail that the National Guard members will testify that then-Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy delayed the deployment for several hours before instructing DC National Guard Commander William Walker to dispatch the troops to the Capitol. The three members, who were on active duty at the time, will provide insight into how a communication breakdown within the military contributed to the delay in their deployment.

These troops, who were present with Walker on the day, will recount how they spent hours on buses, fully equipped in tactical gear, awaiting the go-ahead to proceed to the Capitol.
