A significant theft took place at Venzio Jewelers in New Jersey, with thieves making off with approximately $1 million in jewelry, as reported by the New York Post.

The daring heist, which occurred between 8 p.m. Wednesday and the following morning, was only reported at 10 a.m. Thursday, leaving authorities scrambling for leads as the culprits remain at large.

According to the police report cited by the outlet, the criminals meticulously planned their intrusion by cutting through a wall from an adjacent vacant space into the back office of Venzio Jewelers. In a bid to evade detection, they severed the store's phone and alarm lines before using a blowtorch to access the safe and abscond with the valuable jewelry. The method used by the thieves to gain entry into the mall, which typically closes at 9 p.m., remains shrouded in mystery.
