In a recent move, President Biden's reelection campaign has released a Latino-centric advertisement that criticizes former President Trump for his controversial comments about immigrants.

The ad, named "Change," was first shared with The Hill and includes Biden's comments from his recent visit to Arizona.

In the ad, Biden is heard saying, "This election is an election between me and a guy named Trump. This is a guy who calls Latinos criminals, drug dealers, and rapists. Now he says immigrants are poisoning the blood of our country." The audio clip also includes Trump's voice uttering the words "rapists" and "poisoning the blood of our country."

Biden further questions Trump's remarks, asking, "What the hell is he talking about? The reason we're as good as we are is because we are the most diverse country in the world."

The advertisement is set to air on digital platforms in both Spanish and English this weekend. It is part of the campaign's $30 million ad buy following the State of the Union address, targeting battleground states such as Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Florida.

Maca Casado, the campaign's Hispanic media director, commented on the ad, stating, "Let’s call Trump’s words and actions what they are: anti-Latino, anti-immigrant, and anti-American. President Biden knows diversity is our strength, and while Donald Trump recycles his cheap ad from 2020 to attempt to ‘win over’ Latinos, our community knows it’s Joe Biden who is really fighting for them and just how terrible a Trump presidency would be for our community."

This is the second Latino-focused ad released by the campaign this week, following the "Only One Choice" ad that outlined the policy differences between Biden and Trump for Latino voters. Another ad was released earlier on Friday, marking the anniversary of the Affordable Care Act’s (ACA) passage and criticizing Trump's record on health care and his threats to repeal the law.

In line with these efforts, Biden has been focusing on Latino outreach during his visits to Arizona, Nevada, and Texas. The campaign also launched "Latinos con Biden-Harris," a national program aimed at engaging and mobilizing Latino voters, earlier this week.
