In the video, hundreds of migrants from various regions attempted to breach the border in El Paso, Texas, after being directed south of the concertina wire by the National Guard under the cover of darkness.
The migrants successfully breached the wire barrier, outnumbered the National Guard forces, and proceeded towards the border.

Jean-Pierre attributed blame to Texas Governor Greg Abbott, accusing him of politicizing the border situation. She stated, "I have not discussed that video with the president... However, I believe that is a matter for the Republican governor of Texas to address and comment on."

In a separate development, the Biden administration initiated legal action against Texas to dismantle razor wire along the border. The US Supreme Court recently ruled in favor of the administration, permitting Border Patrol agents to remove the razor wire installed along the Texas-Mexico border.
