According to the Carrollton Police Department, the arrest unfolded following a report from a sexual assault victim receiving medical care at a local hospital on February 11.
The subsequent day, Carlton Tambaoga, 25, was taken into custody and charged with one count of sexual assault. Further investigation by the Special Victims Unit uncovered a second victim allegedly assaulted by Tambaoga, resulting in an additional sexual assault charge on February 13.
Revealing Tambaoga's HIV positive status, law enforcement disclosed his detainment at Denton County Jail.
As inquiries progressed, detectives identified and interviewed four more individuals who reported being sexually assaulted by the suspect. Authorities suspect additional victims in the DFW Metroplex, Houston, Texas, and Atlanta, Georgia.

The investigation remains active, with detectives diligently reaching out to each victim for testimonies as new evidence surfaces.

Police urge any potential victims of sexual assault to promptly seek medical attention and undergo testing for sexually transmitted infections (STIs). They also advise victims to contact the respective local police department where the assault occurred.
