A Haitian migrant has been apprehended and accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old disabled girl in Massachusetts.

The incident transpired at a Rockland hotel designated for housing undocumented immigrants, with the suspect entering the U.S. through the immigration "parole" initiative extended to Cuban, Haitian, Nicaraguan, and Venezuelan immigrants under the Biden administration.

Cory Alvarez, aged 26, was formally charged with aggravated rape of a child during his arraignment on Thursday and is presently detained without bail, as reported by CBS News. Sources disclosed to Fox News that Alvarez utilized the parole procedures for Cuban, Haitian, Nicaraguan, and Venezuelan immigrants implemented by the Biden administration to enter the country.

Law enforcement officers were summoned to a Comfort Inn following a report from a staff member at the front desk, who indicated a 15-year-old disabled girl had been sexually assaulted around 7 p.m. local time.

Alvarez purportedly lured the girl to his room under the guise of assisting her with an application on an electronic device, only to allegedly perpetrate the assault once she was inside.

The parole program that facilitated Alvarez's entry into the U.S. was initially unveiled in 2022 and subsequently extended to Haitian immigrants in January 2023. This initiative permits 30,000 immigrants to enter the U.S. on "parole," a status that does not entail formal admission for immigration purposes. According to the program guidelines, "Parole ends on the date the parole period expires or when a parolee departs the United States or acquires an immigration status, whichever occurs first."
