Details Emerge: Mitch McConnell's Sister-In-Law Angela Chao Made Frantic Plea Moments Before Death

The Wall Street Journal has recently corroborated earlier reports by The Gateway Pundit, revealing that Angela Chao, the billionaire sister-in-law of Mitch McConnell, tragically lost her life after her Tesla plunged into a pond on a secluded Texas ranch.

According to the Journal's report, the incident occurred on February 10th when Chao was attempting a three-point turn and inadvertently reversed her Tesla into a pond. The report further disclosed that in the moments leading up to her demise, as her vehicle was sinking, Chao made a desperate phone call to a friend.

In the midst of her panic, Chao explained to her friend that she had mistakenly put the car in reverse instead of drive, causing her to go over an embankment and into the pond.

The Blanco County Sheriff’s Department, in a statement, said, “Although the preliminary investigation indicated this was an unfortunate accident, the Sheriff’s Office is still investigating this accident as a criminal matter until they have sufficient evidence to rule out criminal activity.”

As reported by The New York Post, Chao, the former CEO of the dry bulk shipping giant Foremost Group, was spending the weekend with several friends from Harvard Business School on a sprawling 900-acre private property in Texas’ Hill Country. The property boasted horse stables, a swimming pool, and a 10-bedroom guesthouse.

After celebrating the Chinese New Year on Friday night, Chao left the guesthouse around 11:30 p.m. to return to the main house where her son was sleeping. Given the cold weather, she opted to drive her Tesla Model X SUV for the short four-minute journey instead of walking.

However, within minutes, she was on the phone with one of her friends, explaining in a panic that she had put the car in reverse instead of drive while making a K-turn. The car had gone over an embankment and into a pond, and was sinking rapidly.
