The search yielded clothing items that matched those worn by Moore when he was allegedly seen carrying Molotov cocktails. "They seized clothing that is consistent with the images of what Moore was wearing when he carried the Molotov cocktails," the DOJ stated.
In addition to the clothing, the officials also discovered a variety of items in the basement storage area that were consistent with the manufacturing of explosive devices. A notebook containing entries related to the creation of destructive devices and the necessary ingredients was also recovered.

Court documents indicate that Moore and an unidentified co-conspirator utilized the messaging application Signal to plan an arson attack on the Seattle Police Officers Guild (SPOG) using Molotov cocktails. The attack was scheduled to coincide with a demonstration at the police union on Labor Day 2020.

FBI Special Agent Katherine Murphy, who specializes in domestic terrorism, provided a sworn deposition stating that Moore and his co-conspirator agreed to bring 10-15 Molotov cocktails with the intention of destroying the building. They also discussed the possibility of recruiting additional individuals to assist in the attack.

In a separate operation in June 2021, Seattle police officers executed search warrants at Moore's residence in Renton, Washington. The search of Moore's vehicle yielded a smartphone, paperwork bearing Moore's name, and black pants that matched those worn by the Molotov cocktail suspect on Labor Day 2020.

The notebook recovered from Moore's vehicle contained a list of ingredients used to manufacture explosives, including ping-pong balls, matchbooks, rocket candy, black powder, scale, potassium nitrate, magnesium, and masking tape. The notebook also contained recipes for creating explosive devices.

On September 7, 2020, during a violent demonstration at SPOG, Seattle police officers arrested 22 individuals for arson, assault, obstructing, and failure to disperse. A group of Antifa militants and anti-police protesters, dressed in black, marched from the International District to SPOG. Upon their arrival, they began engaging in criminal activities, leading the police to declare the demonstration a riot and disperse the group.
