Instagram has recently come under fire for censoring the profile of Chloe Cole, a self-described "former trans kid" who underwent a double mastectomy at the age of 15.

Cole received a notification from Instagram stating that her profile violated the platform's rules for being "violent."

In a post on X, Cole expressed her frustration, stating, "Facebook has notified me that my Instagram bio is too 'violent.'" She went on to say, "If you think reading it is violent, imagine actually living through all that!!"

Cole's Instagram bio includes the following information: "19, female (XX), former trans kid, started T & Blockers at 13, Double Mastectomy at 15, detransed at 16."

In addition to censoring her profile, Cole also received a notification that her account "can't be shown to non-followers" due to her "account activity" not aligning with Instagram's guidelines. This means that her "account and content won't appear in places like Explore, Search, Suggested Users, Reels, and Feed Recommendations."

In response to these actions, Cole stated in an interview with the Post Millennial, "Facebook is absolutely correct in stating that my bio describes something violent-that is, my own life experiences." She emphasized that she is using her experience to raise awareness and promote compassion, rather than condoning the actions of her doctors.

Cole expressed her disappointment that Instagram is using the claim of promoting violence to hide her content from those who need to hear her message the most.

Cole has been a vocal advocate against children transitioning, drawing from her own personal experience as a cautionary tale. At the age of 13, she was placed on puberty blockers and later received testosterone. At 15, she underwent a double mastectomy, only to detransition a year later.

Currently, Cole is suing her medical providers for malpractice, alleging that they failed to adequately inform her and her family about the potential side effects of the medical interventions for gender dysphoria. Her lawyers at the Center for American Liberty argue that the doctors misled Cole and her parents, falsely claiming that her gender dysphoria would never resolve itself and that she was at high risk for suicide unless she socially and medically transitioned.

Cole has testified on various pieces of legislation across the country, aiming to prevent other children from experiencing what she went through. During a recent testimony to Congress, she emphasized the importance of compassion and therapy, rather than affirming delusions, in helping individuals with gender dysphoria.

Cole pleaded with lawmakers, stating, "Enough children have already been victimized by this barbaric pseudoscience. Please let me be your final warning."

Despite her activism, Cole has faced backlash and attempts at censorship from online platforms and activists. In February, an event featuring Cole and other speakers was removed by Eventbrite for containing "hateful, dangerous, and violent content."

Additionally, Cole hosted a Detransition Awareness Day rally in Sacramento, California, where a journalist was attacked by Antifa militants. She also encountered protestors at a rally in Nashville, Tennessee, where she spoke out against the push for gender ideology on children.

Chloe Cole's story sheds light on the challenges faced by individuals who have detransitioned and the importance of open dialogue and understanding in addressing gender dysphoria.
