The Daily Wire reports another situation involving the Biden administration and classified material.

According to a news report by CNN, Rob Malley was suspended after an investigation by the State Department over "possible mishandling of classified information." Malley is Biden's special envoy to Iran. He was reportedly placed on leave. His security clearance was also suspended.

Malley responded, "I have been informed that my security clearance is under review." "I have not been provided any further information, but I expect the investigation to be resolved favorably and soon. In the meantime, I am on leave."

The CNN report noted Malley was placed "on leave without pay." Malley did not confirm this one way or the other in his statement. When the investigation was completed, Malley was allowed to stay in his current position but blocked from having access to classified material. Sources told the network that during the investigation, officials discovered "an issue with Malley's security clearance."

Malley has made his position clear regarding Iran and Israel. The Biden special envoy is pro-Iranian and anti-Israel. In a tweet from last year, Malley said, "Marchers in Washington and cities around the world are showing their support for the Iranian people, who continue to peacefully demonstrate for their government to respect their dignity and human rights."

Former executive director of Iranian Americans for Liberty, Bryan Leib, said, "Robert Malley will go down in history books as the most ineffective and feckless State Department official of the last 50 years. It's time for him to go. His most recent gaffe on Twitter is just another example of how he has aligned the United States government with the Islamic Republic and not with liberty-seeking Iranian people. His fake apology is not accepted, and he should be terminated immediately."

A senior adviser to the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, Richard Goldberg, said, "So long as Malley is special envoy, you know the administration's policy remains to offer sanctions relief to the regime in Tehran. If he leaves, it'll be the first signal of a policy shift away from accommodating the regime and toward helping the Iranian people."
