Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad, has just revealed breaking news. An impressive raid on Iranian soil led to the ultimate arrest of a man that aimed to kill Israelites.
Fox News reports, “We will reach whoever foments terrorism against Jews and Israelis around the world, including on Iranian soil,” a senior Mossad official said in a statement released Thursday along with a video confession from Yusef Shahabazi Abbasalilu, the head of the Iranian cell.”
Abbasalilu allegedly received weapons from Islamic Revolutionary Guard members and detailed instructions. Then, he traveled with his men to Cyprus. The plan was to kill Israeli businessmen.
Earlier this week, Cypriot authorities released information regarding captured individuals and said they were able to thwart a terrorist attack. However, Abbasalilu was able to escape. He returned to Iran. During the raid on Iranian soil, they were able to capture him.

Per Fox News, “He revealed all the details of the operation of the cell as well as his involvement in an attempted assassination and how he tried to carry it out, including hiding a weapon. He said the group had carried out an assassination in the past and that they helped him illegally enter the Greek part of the island from the Turkish-held north.”

They dismantled the rest of that group of terrorists thanks to the information received. However, that doesn’t mean that they are done fighting. The country, including intelligence agencies like Mossad, continues to fight against terrorism. The government will not stop and will continue to act against anyone who targets them or their citizens.
A spokesperson also said they would not allow Iran to build a nuclear arsenal or develop weapons facilities that will be used against them.
