In Tuesday night's primary contests in Virginia, three progressive prosecutors secured their victories, all backed by the vast financial support from billionaire philanthropist George Soros.

The trio won against their respective primary challengers, holding onto their seats in Northern Virginia.

Parisa Dehghani-Tafti, the Arlington-Falls Church Commonwealth Attorney, celebrated a convincing triumph over her opponent, Josh Katcher. The cornerstone of her re-election campaign centered on restorative justice principles, with propositions such as the cessation of cash bail and drug criminalization.

Fox News Digital earlier this month revealed that a pair of committees supported by Soros contributed over $350,000 to two Virginia prosecutors, aiding their successful campaigns in the June 20 primary. These prosecutors, who initially took office four years prior with Soros's help, faced the risk of losing their seats to Democratic contenders. Dehghani-Tafti benefited from a substantial portion of these contributions, with a combined $326,000 funneled toward her re-election bid.

Fairfax County Attorney Steve Descano emerged victorious against his primary challenger, Ed Nuttall, thanks to a 10-point lead. Soros's support for Descano was also evident in this election cycle, with contributions amounting to $26,500. Despite facing scrutiny for his perceived leniency towards crime, including his decision to dismiss charges against a habitual offender involved in a near-fatal road rage incident, Descano, a committed progressive, held his position firmly.

Joining the ranks of the victors, Loudoun County Prosecutor Buta Biberaj overcame her primary opponent, Elizabeth Lancaster, with a lead of over 10 points. Biberaj's tenure since 2020, backed by Soros's expansive network, has not been without controversy. In the previous year, she faced a bar complaint when a circuit court judge removed her office from a criminal case, citing deliberate misguidance of the Court and the public and employing a convicted sex offender as a paralegal. Biberaj also faced removal from a nationally-covered case concerning impartiality.

Heritage Foundation senior legal fellow Cully Stimson commented on the trio's victory to Fox News Digital, saying, "The primary victories by the three Soros bought-and-paid for rogue prosecutors in northern Virginia is not surprising given the amount of direct and indirect spending by Soros PACs in these three races." He added that the real victors of the night were "career criminals," with the real losers being the residents of the three counties and the police force.

On the Republican primary side, six out of six GOP candidates endorsed by Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin won Tuesday night's nomination races in the Senate and House, reinforcing Youngkin's perfect record in contested primaries this year.

Stimson, who co-authored the upcoming book "Rogue Prosecutors: How Radical Soros Lawyers Are Destroying America's Communities," with Heritage legal fellow Zack Smith, concluded, "The real losers in these three counties are the residents, who will now continue to suffer as victims, and the police, who are further demoralized because they don't have a partner in the DA's office."
