The unexpected death of a young man, Noah Enos, has sent shockwaves through Chicago's vibrant music scene.

The 26-year-old was found lifeless in the Chicago River on Saturday morning, a short distance from a well-known music venue, the Salt Shed, where he had last been seen alive.

Enos's family, grappling with the tragic news, broke their silence on a GoFundMe page in his honor. "Sadly, we have received the heartbreaking confirmation that Noah has passed away," penned Kristen Zoller. "The family is grateful for the many prayers, generous donations, and the outpouring of kindness and support you have shown during these exceptionally trying days. Please continue to keep Noah's loved ones in your prayers."

According to a report by Fox 32 in Chicago, Enos's body was located around the 1300 block of North Elston Avenue at approximately 9:45 a.m. The news outlet confirmed with the local medical examiner late Saturday that the remains extracted from the river belonged to the missing man. Details surrounding his cause of death, however, remain undisclosed.

Enos's presence was last noted at a concert held at the Salt Shed on Monday night, which he attended with a coworker. The coworker reported last seeing him around 10 p.m., after which his whereabouts became a mystery. The family revealed that Enos maintained contact with friends via text and Snapchat until around 9 p.m., after which his phone died. The missing man's family suspected foul play upon discovering that his last recorded messages and calls were registered at 5 p.m., conflicting with text messages sent to his friends later that evening.

Lee Anne Chapin, Enos's mother, previously told Fox News Digital, "he went to the bathroom around 10 p.m., 'and when he got out, he couldn't find Noah.'" The family considered the lack of contact with his girlfriend and his failure to return home uncharacteristic.

Enos, originally from out of state, had relocated to Chicago approximately a year ago. He was employed at a local restaurant and performed graphic design work for a T-shirt company. His sudden and inexplicable absence has left a void in the hearts of his loved ones and the local community. An autopsy is scheduled to further probe into the circumstances surrounding Enos's untimely demise.
