Sanders, who previously coached at Jackson State, has been dealing with foot issues that have worsened. In a video posted on Instagram, Sanders revealed that he had lost feeling in the bottom of his foot and is seeking medical advice from orthopedic and vascular surgeons at Colorado University.
During the meeting, Sanders expressed his desire to undergo surgery this summer, but Dr. Kenneth Hunt and Dr. Donald Jacobs cautioned him about the risks involved. Sanders has already had two toes on his left foot amputated due to blood clots, and Jacobs warned that he could potentially lose his entire foot if he undergoes surgery.

"As you know I've faced some medical challenges with my foot but I've never said 'WHY ME' – I keep moving forward, progressing," Sanders wrote. "See you never know what a person may be going through while I sit in your seat of judgment but you can trust and believe that we are all going through something – just keep the faith and know that if He brought you to it, He will bring you through it... I'm CoachPrime and I'm built for this."
Sanders' health concerns the Colorado Buffaloes as they prepare for the upcoming season. However, Sanders' determination and resilience in the face of adversity could inspire his team to overcome their challenges on the field.
