During Wednesday's press briefing, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre expressed concern over Republican Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville's decision to block confirmations of Department of Defense (DOD) positions.

Tuberville previously stated that his blocking of the process is "unfortunate," but that he will protect against "taxpayer-funded abortions." He clarified that his actions are not about abortion but rather about preventing taxpayer-funded abortions.
