Maryland University wants to be the leading anti-Black racism university, and it is well on its way.

The latest minor at the university is a minor in anti-black racism. Right now, it’s coming soon.

Fox News says, “‘The University of Maryland’s Anti-Black Racism minor is part of the university’s work to address one of society’s grand challenges through research, knowledge sharing and discussion,’ the University shared with Fox News Digital in a statement. ‘Courses and symposia are still under development.’”

The new minor is a part of the anti-black initiative the university focuses on. Maryland University also aims to create programs and workshops for students and faculty. This will help everyone on campus learn more about the cause and how they can support it.

A video on the website points to the injustices that plague the county and surrounding area where the university is located. It details the drastic income divide. The video points out that Latina and black officers report problems with discipline and getting a promotion. Police brutality is also mentioned.

So, what does one do with a minor in anti-Black racism? They can work for any school with a diversity, equity, and inclusion initiative. Still, these are quickly being outlawed in red states in favor of courses that teach science-backed history. They could teach a diversity course. We know it would qualify them to lead a campaign like Black Lives Matter. Remember the Black Lives Matter marches where cities were burnt to the ground and never repaired despite receiving thousands of dollars in funding?
