Dominique Green is a Mississippi mom left grieving for the untimely death of her two-year-old daughter, Aubrey.

She left her baby with her parents at their mobile home while she headed to the hospital to give birth to her son. However, a terrifying tornado ripped through the mobile home park and the trailer.

According to the NY Post, “In addition to Aubrey, the grandparents were watching three other grandchildren — Kaleb, 8, Kelsey, 7, and Kensley, 1 — for their mother, Jessica Drain, and their own 10- and 11-year-old children, the outlet said.”

Aubrey died immediately. Kaleb is left in critical condition and has a head injury. He’s currently on a ventilator and in intensive care. Drain recently spoke with a media outlet regarding the incident. Per the NY Post, “‘They told me that my son was bleeding out of his head, he was laying there, he had a seizure, his eyes rolled to the back of his head,’ Drain told the outlet of the moment she learned about her son’s injuries.” Drain is full of hurt because she could not get to her niece or her son to save them.

JoAnn Winston is Jessica Drain’s aunt. She lives next to the mobile home park and says the tornado seemed to come out of nowhere. According to Winston, she heard a noise similar to a train, and suddenly her son was shouting to get on the floor. She said she didn’t even see any houses when she tried to get to her family. Aubrey was already with an ambulance that was trying to revive the baby.

Winston’s brother recently passed as well from a heart attack. The relatives are preparing for the funerals, and a GoFundMe account has been set up to help with financial support.

Mississippi is grieving the losses from the tornado. It has taken 26 lives so far. Rolling Fork satellite footage displays trees that have been uprooted and buildings that have been flattened. Our hearts and prayers are with Mississippi.
