“The View” has always been the type of show that generates controversy in some circles, and it is back at it again.

One of the show’s hosts admitted that she walked naked in front of her children, making the other hosts visibly uncomfortable. The conversation was brought up as the panel discussed whether Michelangelo’s David painting was deemed “too pornographic” by some parents of sixth-graders in one part of the country.

The Washington Post reports that principal Hope Carrasquilla was essentially fired for allowing this painting into the lesson plans that sixth-graders at her school are taught. Some parents complained, which appears to be at the issue’s root. The Gateway Pundit reports that there are upsides and downsides to teaching minors about these types of paintings. Still, at least some parents feel uncomfortable having their children learn about these topics in this manner. They spoke up, and it caused a big enough stir that the principal was terminated.

However, this is the type of conversation held on “The View” when co-host Sara Haines gave her opinions about the situation. Haines said, “It’s literally a sculpture of ‘David,’” and “Like, we’re all born naked.”. She said nothing was wrong with exposing children to nudity because it is a natural part of the human experience. She continued with some comments that started to make things a bit more uncomfortable for the guests on the show. She said:

“Like, I put my lotions on (myself),” and “My kids have seen my body. My kids bathe together….”

“View” co-host Sunny Hostin was so thrown off by the comments made by her co-host that she asked her to confirm what she had said. Hostin said:

“Your kids have seen your ta-tas?”

Haines responded, “Absolutely,” and, “They ask if there’s milk in there.”

The camera went over to other hosts on the show, who were shocked at what they had just heard. It was something that was utterly unexpected and threw off all of the guests on the show. It was shocking to all of them, and there are still ripples of this being a major issue for many people. They are highly confused about how Haines could have considered this an acceptable thing to say to the world.

The lax attitude about sex and sexuality has many people shocked and concerned about the views freely expressed on “The View” regularly.
