During the weekend, Jonathan Majors was behind bars.

He was arrested Saturday morning regarding allegations that he strangled his girlfriend. Multiple outlets, including TMZ, reported on the incident.

According to The Blaze, “‘Officers placed the 33-year-old male into custody without incident. The victim sustained minor injuries to her head and neck and [was] removed to an area hospital in stable condition,’ a New York City Police Department spokesperson told National Public Radio in a statement.”

The officers charged him with assault, harassment, and strangulation regarding a 30-year-old woman. However, Majors claims he is innocent. A spokesperson for Majors said he looks forward to clearing this up and his name.

However, police say that the victim says he assaulted her. The dispute began in the back of a taxi when the two were on the way home. The Blaze says, “The assault victim, who [is] thought to be Majors’ girlfriend, reportedly confronted Majors after she saw another woman texting him. An angry Majors then allegedly grabbed her hand and slapped her, according to TMZ’s sources.”

Majors is a hot, up-and-coming actor. He’s well known for his role in Creed III. He also appeared in Antman and Wasp: Quantumania, Lovecraft Country, Devotion, and Magazine Dreams, among other movies.

We’ll have to wait and see how this plays out. While Majors has not been proven guilty, we’ve witnessed cancel culture consistently insinuate that people are guilty until proven innocent.
