Governor DeSantis gave an interview with Piers Morgan of Fox News and stated that a big reason why he was able to drop a significant amount of weight recently is that he was able to cut out a lot of sugar from his diet.
DeSantis said: “At the end of the day, it’s like a New Year’s resolution. Just get back in the swing of things. I have the same thing. I’m a vet. I’m an athlete and a military veteran. And so, as governor, you can get caught up in many other things.”

The Governor continued by saying: “I’m on a good regimen and will keep it going. . . . I think sugar is the biggest issue because if you do sugar, your body burns sugar. If you don’t, it burns fat.”

Piers Morgan then joked with the governor about a recent rumor that he ate chocolate pudding with his bare hands. Morgan said: “Have you ever eaten a chocolate pudding with three fingers?”
DeSantis laughed and said: “I don’t remember ever doing that. I’m telling you, maybe when I was a kid.”

Former President Trump has referred to DeSantis as “fat” and “whiny,” according to a recent book by New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman. However, DeSantis is not bothered by these accusations or name-calling. He continues to work on himself and his physical appearance despite the critics.

DeSantis said the following about it:
“It’s interesting. There are many people when they go at you. Sometimes they have excellent ammunition. Like you’re a crook. You did this. You did that for me. So for me, they’re talking about pudding. Like, is that the best you got? Okay, bring it on.”
