In an effort to establish a "world-class" diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) program, the United States Air Force is actively recruiting for several senior-level DEI managers at various locations throughout the country.

Fox News Digital reports that since the beginning of March, the Air Force has posted job listings for four high-ranking DEI-related positions, each offering a minimum salary of $82,000.

The Pentagon is providing the most lucrative opportunity, with a salary exceeding $180,000 per annum. In Arlington, Virginia, the Air Force seeks to appoint a DEI official who will serve as a first-level supervisor within the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. This "supervisory diversity equity inclusion and accessibility officer" will receive an annual compensation ranging from $155,700 to $183,500. The role entails ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, meeting customer needs, and implementing world-class DEI initiatives.

Meanwhile, Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland is searching for a Joint Base Installation chief diversity and inclusion officer who will function as the "diversity and inclusion manager" and earn a yearly salary between $94,199 and $122,459. The successful candidate will be tasked with devising a strategic vision for advancing diversity and inclusion via educational programs, ultimately fostering a culture of DEI within the Department of Defense.

Elmendorf Air Force Base in Alaska is offering a yearly salary of $93,367 to $121,378 for a chief DEIA officer responsible for an array of functions supporting the installation's DEI mission. The role will focus on creating educational programs that enhance the Air Force's culture of diversity and inclusion. Furthermore, Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama is looking to hire a diversity and inclusion coordinator with an annual salary range of $82,830 to $107,680 to implement DEI training courses and workshops on the base.

In addition to the Air Force positions, several federal government agencies have posted job listings for DEI-related roles on USAJobs.gov.

For instance, the Department of Commerce's National Institute of Standards and Technology in Maryland is hiring a supervisory director of diversity and inclusion with a starting salary of $155,700 per year.
