Don Lemon previously received widespread criticism for commenting on women past their prime. Fox News reports, “‘Nikki Haley isn’t in her prime, sorry,’ Lemon told his female co-hosts on ‘CNN This Morning’ about the former South Carolina governor and newly-announced Republican presidential candidate.” After that, he said that a woman was in her prime in her 20s and 30s. Some women, according to Lemon, may be in their prime in their 40’s.

The comment immediately received criticism. According to The Daily Mail, “Lemon’s words sparked immediate uproar, with his co-hosts Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins looking shocked. Lemon then absented himself from the next few shows and grovelingly apologized to staff in an emergency conference call.” However, the rest of the world did not forget his comments, as we can see by their reaction to what Michelle Yeoh said.
