The left continues to try to erase history, and now Disney is jumping back on the bandwagon.

A classic ride at the theme park, Splash Mountain, had many references to the South. However, Disney is now re-doing the ride to eliminate those references.

According to Breitbart, “The change in the parade follows plans to close the park’s classic ride Splash Mountain, which was designed with references to ‘Song of the South.’ The attraction will be reconfigured to feature themes and iconography from the 2009 feature ‘The Princess and the Frog.’” The ride previously featured an iconic song, Zip-a-dee-doo-dah.

The song became a classic part of America in 1946 when it was performed by a black American actor named James Baskett. It was completed in a movie called Song of the South.

However, as the years went on, the movie became known for its depictions of slavery and outdated information. Then, the film was banned. People can only see it if they pick it up in bootleg form.

A petition on Change.org started the call to cancel the ride three years ago. It had a little over 20,000 signatures. However, a counter-petition that pointed out the nonsense behind canceling the ride wound up with almost 100,000 signatures. According to Breitbart, “Splash Mountain has never included depictions of slaves or any racist elements and is based solely on historical African folktales that families of all ethnicities have been enjoying for nearly a century,’ the petition stated. ‘It is absurd to pander to a small group of ‘Disney haters’ that don’t understand the story and re-theme such a nostalgic ride.’”

Many people understand that the ride will change because it has depictions from the movie, which has been criticized for being racist. However, the song itself does not, so many are scratching their heads as they wonder why it’s the latest cancellation. The song is typically in a parade but has been removed. The movie is also being removed from the Disney+ platform.

That’s not the only woke news coming from Disney. They’re now being blasted for shoving woke culture in people’s faces because Peter Pan & Wendy, a new live-action film, will have girls playing The Lost Boys. The word boy is even in the title. At this point, it’s getting ridiculous.
