Ned Price has become known as the face of U.S. foreign policy.

Price began his days on the podium in January 2021 with the Biden Administration. Now, he’s stepping down from the position.

NY Post reports, “Price will take a job working directly with Secretary of State Antony Blinken later this month, the State Department said Tuesday, and will be replaced in the interim by his deputy, Vedant Patel, until a successor is named.”

Blinken states that Price has done a fantastic job and has always acted professionally. Price previously was a spokesperson for the CIA and the National Security Council for the Obama Administration. However, he stepped away from the job during the Trump Administration. When President Trump was in the White House, Price quickly pointed out Trump’s alleged criticism of the intelligence agency. He cited that as a reason he would not work with the Trump Administration.

So far, Price is the longest spokesperson for the Biden Administration. He’s even managed to outlast Jen Psaki. However, it seems to be a matter of time before people walk away from the White House podium regarding the Biden Administration. Many praised Price for bringing back daily press briefings regarding several matters, including foreign policy. It helped the government be more transparent and allowed people to ask questions regarding foreign policy.

NBC News says, “‘It offers an opportunity for press from around the world to question the foreign policy of the United States, often critically, and requires the State Department to defend it,’ Shaun Tandon, a correspondent with Agence France-Presse and President of the State Department Correspondents’ Association, said in a statement congratulating Price on his new role. ‘It is a tribute to the health of American Democracy.’” he continued.

No one has commented as to why Price is stepping down, but we’ll keep you updated.
