Alex Murdaugh’s brother is not holding back as he offers his opinions about what he believes his brother is holding back about some of the details of the murder.

The New York Post said that Randy Murdaugh spoke with the New York Times and said: “He knows more than what he’s saying.”

He continued by saying: “He’s not telling the truth, in my opinion, about everything there.”

This was all concerning the murder of his wife, Maggie, 52, and son Paul, 22.

The significant difference between what Randy is saying and what the rest of the family is saying is that the rest still stick to the claim that they are convinced that Alex is more innocent than ever.

Randy said: “ not knowing … is the worst thing there is.”

Alex has been sentenced to life in prison for the June 7, 2021, double murder.

Maggie’s sister, Marian Proctor, said that she found it off that Alex never talked about Maggie after her murder. Therefore, it seems like at least some people within the family are curious about the actions or lack of action that Alex took after the double murder. It appears that there are different perspectives related to the situation with Alex and the double murder he is accused of.

The New York Post reports that Randy says that he isn’t sure if he ever really knew his brother Alex after everything that has unfolded in the days and weeks since. He says he has learned so much about things his brother kept under wraps, making him question everything.

Alex ultimately admitted to being addicted to painkillers and embezzling millions of dollars from clients at the law firm where he worked (and the firm his grandfather founded).

Randy says that he was repeatedly lied to by his brother. In particular, Alex lied to him when he said he was shot and lying on the side of the road. That ruse later turned out to be an attempted life insurance scam. Alex later admitted to it.

Jim Griffin, the attorney for Alex, made claims at a press conference that are deeply contradictory to what Randy has personally said about his feelings about his brother:

“After six weeks of trial, [the Murdaugh family] came away more convinced that he did not do this, and they are steadfastly in his camp and support him.”

The family still appears highly divided.
