Erin Brockovich, an environmental activist and legal expert who became famous after a movie about her life, has spoken out about the ongoing environmental disaster in eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania.

In response to a toxic train derailment that has left residents feeling misled, Brockovich has called on the highest levels of government to be honest with those affected.

"I see what's going on here," Brockovich told Fox News host Tucker Carlson. "You can explain away all day long to me that nothing's wrong, but I see what's going on here. You're not going to gaslight me."

Brockovich, who successfully fought against the Pacific Gas and Electric Company for lying to residents in California, has now taken up the cause of the people of East Palestine, Ohio. The derailment of a Norfolk Southern train carrying toxic chemicals has had a devastating impact on the community. However, environmental groups and government officials have been slow to acknowledge the disaster.

Environmental groups and the Democratic Party are ideologically aligned. They are driven by their ambition to eliminate fossil fuels and force the world to rely on unproven green energy, Brockovich claimed. The same people who protested the Dakota Access Pipeline six years ago have been notably absent throughout the past four weeks.

Brockovich's credibility comes from her successful efforts to hold powerful entities accountable for the harm they caused. "Look, you don't have to go any further, in my opinion, than a hundred-year study that we all know the miners did for us," Brockovich said. "It's called the canary in the mine shaft. Send the canary down there, it dies, might not be good for humans."

Brockovich has witnessed dead fish and animals in the area and cited that as a signal that areas inhabited by struggling wildlife "might not be good for humans." She has challenged officials who attempt to spin the situation and vowed to resist such efforts.

While the Environmental Protection Agency has been present in East Palestine, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg took weeks to visit the community, and President Biden has no plans to visit. Brockovich, however, has been on the ground and advocating for the people affected. Her involvement and proven ability to take on powerful entities could make her a vital ally for the people of East Palestine.
