During ESPN's post-game Super Bowl broadcast, Chris Berman caused a stir when he summarized the Kansas City Chiefs' triumphant Super Bowl LVI win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Berman hosted the postgame show, discussing the first-time event of Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts, both African American quarterbacks, to headline the Super Bowl. The topic had been at the forefront of the week's conversations, but Berman gave it some further exploration on the night of the game.

"Also, of course, two African American quarterbacks starting against each other in the Super Bowl for the first time. Fittingly, February 12th is Abe Lincoln's birthday," Berman said.

The Chiefs were given a great opportunity to take the win due to a late holding call on Mahomes, and Harrison Butker capitalized on the chance by kicking the game-winning field goal.

The Chiefs emerged as victors with a score of 38-35.

Despite suffering from a re-injury to his high-ankle sprain in the second quarter, Mahomes powered through to help the Chiefs rally from 10 points behind and secure the lead in the fourth.

At the conclusion of Super Bowl LVII, Patrick Mahomes was awarded MVP honors for the second time in his career. Even after appearing to be injured at the end of the first half, the Chiefs leader was able to engineer four scoring drives that eventually led to their victory.
