The campaign was financially backed by Hobby Lobby's family, some Christian organizations, as well as other anonymous benefactors. The aim of the advertisements was to reach out to LGBTQ+ individuals and other groups that have often had an uncomfortable relationship with Christianity.

It has been reported that the Christian organization He Gets Us spent a whopping $20 million on two Super Bowl commercials.
One advertisement portrayed a series of pictures depicting migrants who had to leave their homes for fear of persecution. The ad revealed that the depicted figures were actually Jesus, Mary and Joseph.
The other advertisement features contrasting black-and-white scenes of disagreements related to racial equality, pandemic policies, and politics. The message then reads, "Jesus loved the people we hate."
The He Gets Us initiative was unveiled in March 2022 and aims to dedicate $2 billion in the upcoming years. The advertisements direct audiences to a website that has scripture readings, ways to communicate with real people concerning religion, and details about Jesus.
