According to the latest statistics, the United Kingdom is amidst a massive number of knife attacks among the public.

Breitbart reports that knife killings in the UK have hit their highest level since records started being kept in 1946. It has become a significant issue throughout the country, and many are worried that this kind of thing will not be curtailed anytime soon.

The Office for Nation Statistics (ONS) keeps figures for England and Wales but not Scotland or Northern Ireland. Regardless, they tallied the total number of homicides “committed using a knife or sharp instrument” at 282 in England and Wales in 2022. This is up 19% compared to the year before, and it is the highest number for any single year since records started to be kept in 1946.

The previous record was set in 2018 at 281, but that record was defeated in 2022. In 2018, there were no lockdowns or coronavirus restrictions, and mass gatherings had resumed by 2022 when the record was set again.

Breitbart dug into the numbers a little more deeply and discovered that the most likely demographic to be the victim of a knife attack in the UK were young men and teenagers. Men between the ages of 16-24 were the most likely to be the victims of this attack.

Victims between the ages of 55 and 64 saw a significant uptick in victimhood between 2021 and 2022. Their victim numbers were up 54%, but the actual number of deaths was down to 77 in 2022.

White people were the ethnicity most likely to become victims of these attacks. They made up 71% of the fatalities related to knife attacks. Black people made up 13% of the victims of knife attacks. That is a higher proportion of victims than the population of Blacks in the country.

“The latter can be controversial but I think it’s the kindest thing to do if it saves lives.”

He mentioned this last part as many woke activists are often critical of police searches by saying they tend to target minorities and other vulnerable groups more than others.
