The Squad - four Democratic women who have been frequently aimed for grilling by President Trump and his supporters for their progressive positions - crushed their Republican challengers on Tuesday and cruised to re-election even adding a few seats to their pack which is making the Democratic National Committee nervous.

House Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley received a fresh, two-year mandate from their voters on Tuesday.

AOC, 31, who has emerged as the face of the progressive wing of the Democratic Party, easily kept her 14th congressional district seat.

The New York City Democrat on Tuesday took over Republican John Cummings, a teacher and former police officer.

Omar, 38, the first American of Somali origin to be elected to Congress, won well-funded GOP challenger Lacy Johnson in the district that includes Minneapolis.

Tlaib, 44, is expected to handily take over her Republican opponent, David Dudenhoefer, for Michigan's 13th congressional district seat, which includes parts of Detroit.

She is the first woman of Palestinian origin to be elected to Congress. Pressley, 46, who in 2018 became the first woman of color from Massachusetts to be elected to Congress, took on independent candidate Roy Owens.

Pressley keeps her seat representing Massachusetts 7th congressional district, which includes much of Boston as well as some of its surrounding suburbs.

"Our sisterhood is resilient," Omar tweeted late on Tuesday. Her tweet included images of all four members of the "Squad" congratulating them for their victory.

After she was declared the winner, Omar tweeted: "We are building a movement that sees my struggle as inherently tied to your struggle, and sees a world where all workers can be uplifted.

"Together. Today's vote - the results of this election - are not the end. This is just the beginning."

Ocasio-Cortez has become one of the most well-known voices of the American left in her first term.

Ocasio-Cortez has also become a target of constant criticism from the right, demonized frequently by conservative talk show hosts as the socialist future of the Democratic Party.

All four of the reps were backed by Justice Democrats, a progressive group that backed at least two more House candidates who won their races in 2020: Jamaal Bowman in New York and Cori Bush in Missouri.

Bush, a Black Lives Matter activist, was also featured in the 2019 Netflix documentary “Knock Down the House.”

The doc followed the 2018 primary campaigns of four Democratic female candidates, including Ocasio-Cortez.
